"A vatting of two casks of whisky, one from Hanyu (closed in 2000) and the new Chichibu distillery. This whisky was put together by Ichiro Akuto, owner of Chichibu distillery and son of Isouji Akuto who built Hanyu in 1941. Delicate floral and sandalwood notes from the Japanese mizunara oak intermingle with spice and apple to create an interesting duality of flavours. Bottled at 46% and unchillfiltered."
