"Glencadam Distillery opened in 1825, and since then little has changed to the award-winning whisky. The entire Glencadam range is bottled at 46%, is unchillfiltered and is natural in colour.
Multi-award winning Glencadam Highland Single Scotch Malt Whisky Oloroso Cask Finish Aged 14 Years is a fine example of centuries of craftsmanship and tradition. "The rather enriched" malt with a beautifully sophisticated, spicy flavour.
Nose: Spice and vanilla with elegant sweetness
Palate: Floral and spicy with sophisticated mix of vanilla and Sherry sweetness
Finish: Gentle pepper and spice
Colour: Golden Orange
Gold Medal - Stockhold Beer & Wine Festival, Sweden - 2011
Silver Medal - International Spirits Challenge – 2011
Jim Murray 2012: Score 95
Comments: "Oloroso exactly how it should be:
Classically clean with a dovetailing of dryer and sweeter grape notes which are weighty, but not heavy enough to crush the lighter barley and vanillas from adding to the sumptuous and elegant mix....what a total treat...offering more than a glimpse of the most charming infusion of fruit imaginable."
Jim Murray is recognised internationally as the leading commentator on the world's whiskies and Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, published yearly, is the world's biggest selling whisky book."
